Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri presided over the swearing-in of the appointed Chairman and members of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC).

While delivering remarks at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Adamawa State Executive Council Chambers in Government House Yola on Friday evening, Governor Fintiri stated that the selection of the sworn-in members of ADSIEC was a meticulous one.

He said the members possess good character and integrity, which merited their selection.

Governor Fintiri assured the ADSIEC Chairman and his members that they would be accorded every necessary support needed to discharge their responsibilities.
He tasked the ADSIEC Chairman and his members with delivering their constitutionally mandated responsibilities transparently and diligently.

Governor Fintiri declared that local government area elections would be conducted soon, in accordance with the law.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Adamawa State Independent National Electoral Commission, Hon. Mohammed Umar Jabo, expressed his gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for finding them worthy of appointment to lead ADSIEC.

He revealed that among the newly sworn-in members of ADSIEC are experienced individuals who previously served as senior officers at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He also appreciated the Adamawa State House of Assembly (ADHA) for the swift screening and approval of the members to be sworn in to fulfill their mandate at ADSIEC.

The Chairman of ADSIEC announced that they would begin training the commission members next week to prepare them for the tasks ahead.

2.Zidon Love (Members)
3. Emmanuel Anuhu Abba (Members)
4. Gidado Abdussalam (Members)
5. Mark Balanso (Members)
6. Suleiman Yahaya Vokna (Members)
7. Mohammed Tuki (Members)
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by the State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
