The Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Haruna Ibrahim has inaugurated the new Board Members of the Adamawa State Mining Company Limited at his office in the State Secretariat Complex.

The Commissioner  highlighted that the Committee was established by the Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, to advance mining activities in the state. He outlined the Committee's mandate to assess and recommend suitable mining areas, oversee existing activities, and advise the government on the optimal use of solid minerals. 

Ibrahim noted that Adamawa State is rich in resources such as precious stones, gold, and fluorite. 

He assured that the Ministry of Mineral Resources will collaborate with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals and other agencies to ensure smooth resource exploitation. The Board has a task to submit  their report within three days after the inauguration. 

The Board Chairman, Mr. Mennas Ngangurah expressed gratitude to the Governor for the appointment and committed to working diligently to unlock the state's mineral potential.

Earlier, in her opening remarks, Permanent Secretary Mrs. Melody Heman welcomed the new Board Members and the distinguished guests.

Goodwill messages were also delivered by the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Rural Infrastructure, Hon. Titus Solomon, and the Director of the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals, amongst others.
