NEWS:COMMISSIONER ASSURES MEMBERS OF MSMEs OF STATE GOVERNMENT SUPPORT.

State Council members of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises have been assured of state government commitment and support for the growth and development of entreprenuers in the state.

Commissioner Ministry for Entrepreneurship Development Hon. Hammanjumba Gatugel, gave the assurance in his office on Tuesday, 23th July 2024, during a visit by members of the state (MSMEs council).

He thanked the state council for identifying with him, assured them of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's continuous support to improve the capacity of small and medium business activities in the state, hence reasons behind some of his policies and programmes towards the financial assistance given to youth and women in the society, as well developing them on various concepts in entrepreneurship.

According to Gatugel, the meeting has pave way for credible and initiative that would help micro small and medium enterprises in the state development. 

He promised to build on the already established achievements of the council and urged the various council committees to support government oriented programmes for the benefits of the citizens.

In a remark Adamawa State Council Secretary of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Mustapha Ali Gana, said the purpose of the visit is to familiarised themselves with the new commissioner on board who automatically doubled as the chairman of the (MSMEs) state council.

He briefed the Commissioner on the existence of the state council (MSMEs) which was born out of the policy that was adopted by the Federal Executive Council meeting in 2007.

According to Ali Gana, it deem it fit as a council to brief the new chairman on the objective and key policy areas, as well as activities of the various committee in the council for it's implementation and domestication of the policy in state for the benefits of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises in the state.
